Street Art Festival 2017

The 2nd edition of Hyderabad Street Art Festival took the street art into the inner parts of the dwelling called MS Maqta, near the popular Necklace Road of Hyderabad. The first edition in 2016 made the initiation through the street art on the buildings on the outer border of the Maqtha, along with the boundary wall running along the Necklace Road.

The focus was on taking the street art to the inner parts of the Maqtha, selecting the buildings and structures at different locations of Maqtha. The dwelling which is a complex network of lanes and by-lanes, also got color coded through predominant use of different colors in different lanes giving name of the dominant colors to the lanes. There ws green lane, whch has buildings with the street art on the background of green, Similarly pink and yellow lanes. The epicenter of the street art was the Blue Plaza with a huge mural mde with the dominance of various blue hues.

The Maqtha Art Distric was inaugurated by Shri K T Rama Rao, Minister for Urban Development, Govt. of Telangana. Ḥ

Street Art Festival, Hyderabad 2016

With the aim of taking street art to newer cities across India, the St+Art HYD Project saw many Indian and International artists working with diverse practices in the public domain. From 1st-25th November, several sites in the iconic Necklace Road came alive through murals, installations, talks, screenings and workshops. The aim of the festival is to make art accessible to a wider audience by taking it out of the conventional gallery space and embedding it within the cities we live in - making art truly democratic and for everyone.

Launch of Phase - II art@telangana Art Camp

Art Camp, Phase - II was inaugurated on Oct. 1st, 2014. Sri. Surya Prakash & Sri Vaikuntam did the honours, while other senior artists presided over. The phase - II of the camp lasted till the 6th of Oct. 2014 and on the evening of 6th, the trust had a preview of the art works created during the mamoth 9 day art camp by over 90 artists to various mayors of different cities of the world and the delegates of the Metropolis world congress.

Launch of art@telangana Art Camp

Event Date: 27th, Sept 2014.

An art camp involving 90 eminent artists from Telangana was launched at Taramati Baradari, Hyderabad on sept. 27th, 2014. It was a gala affair and was split into two phases. the first one being from 27th to 30th sept. 2014. Sri. K Laxma Goud was the chief guest, while most senior artists presided over. Also were the organizers of the Metropolis world congress and the Commissioner of GHMC present.
